Triad Social Dance

Would you like to progress in your dancing skills quickly, with personalized instruction and feedback? Consider private dance lessons for adults with our amazing instructors! We’ll build a curriculum based on your skill level, desired area of focus, and goal. We can help improve your social dancing, teach you a piece of choreography (that you can perform, or use as your Wedding dance), and/or provide direct feedback on your connection, timing, styling, and more.

Private dance instruction is available for:

• Salsa (“on 1” and “on 2”)
• Bachata
• Sensual Bachata
• Merengue
• Cumbia
• Cha Cha
• Lindy Hop
• East Coast Swing
• Waltz
• Wedding Dance

Pricing

For one-on-one private lessons, we charge a discounted rate of $40 for your first 1 hour lesson, then $70/hr for additional lessons. Lessons can run from 1 to 2 hours.

For private lessons for a couple, we charge $60 for your first 1 hour lesson, then $90/hr for additional lessons. Lessons can run from 1 to 2 hours.

For small group private classes (for between 2 and 4 couples), we charge $90/hr for the first couple and $30/hr for each additional couple. Lessons can run from 1 to 3 hours, with a 15 min break if more than 2 hours.

Would you like to book us for a larger class? We’ve taught classes as large as 80 people, but with the right space, audio and logistics, we can consider any size :). We typically charge a minimum hourly fee, similar to the above, plus a percent of ticket sales.

Location options

We can host private dance lessons at a number of locations in the Triad NC:

• Art for Art’s Sake studio, downtown Winston Salem. This space has a full wall of mirrors.
• East of Texas, Winston Salem, if you’d like an outdoor setting with food and drink available.
• Our private residence (with a full dance room w/ wood floors).
• Your residence, if within a 30 min drive from Winston Salem, provided you have a full room with wood or other smooth floor, no distractions, and a smoke-free environment. A travel fee may apply, please inquire.

Video

We’ll also ensure that you receive a video of what we teach, with the option to take a video of you dancing (either with the instructor, or with your dance partner).

Performing opportunities

If you’re eager to gain experience performing, we can create an opportunity for you to do so at one of our local dance events!

Teaching Experience

Our dance teaching experience includes:

• Private 1:1 dance instruction for over 20 people and couples
• Sensual Bachata small group private instruction, 6-8 students
• Triad Zouk and Triad Social Dance classes, ranging from 6 to 50 students
• Asheville Fusion Dance: A special workshop on counterbalance and more, 70+ students
• Greensboro Westies: a special intro to zouk workshop, 40+ students
• A Zouk / Sensual Bachata bootcamp, 50 students
• Follower’s salsa styling class
